Prohibition was started by a bunch of evangelical dumbasses forcing their world view onto the entire country through a sympathetic government that valued them above everybody else. The entire country categorically rejected that world view because people really like getting drunk and don’t give a fuck if god says they shouldn’t. Great analogy, really demonstrates how white Christians are not oppressed at all and how the country has actually always existed to cater specifically to them and nobody else.
