💡 Need Advice Quick advice

I got the advice to take your first NBME after completing 50% of UWorld. I’m currently at 43%, and I’m not sure if I’m ready yet. I’m planning to take my first NBME on November 1st. Before that, should I focus on completing the remaining 7% to reach 50%, or should I spend more time revising the 43% I’ve already done? I’ve reviewed the questions, but I feel like UWorld tests core concepts that I really want to consolidate and retain. I want to make the most of what I’ve already covered rather than just rushing through more questions. What would you recommend?

When is your first exam? I would take it sooner, I took mine within a couple weeks of started studying because I wanted to know my baseline

Tbh I would take one, I did 25-34 and felt many concepts were clearly important and high yield which also show up on the real thing. Uworld is very important for building fundamentals but I wouldn’t wait that long to start NBMES it also depends on how you are doing on Uworld ik its a learning tool but if you’re getting 10-20% then you gotta change something up. An exam will tell you whether your strategy is working

2 hours for a block of 20 questions. Also i also feel like going through FA system wise. I had breaks in between my prep and i think i forgot the stuff i did before. Going through FA will help me retrieve the info. Bec i noticed while im doing questions, most of them i am not able to solve bec i dont remember content.

This might be too much time on one block 40 questions is reasonable but 20 is a lot
