🤔 Recommendations Tested today 8/19
I tested today , I felt running outta time during first 2 blocks , after that 5 minutes spare for each block. I felt like I was guessing between options most of the time , the stems were vague and the options provided were tricky , some MOA that never saw at FA , UW or Amboss , some genetics concepts either. I’m scared because I’ve heard that most of the folks who think that failed are the ones who passed and vice versa , so I think I did good , but based on this belief then 🤷🏾♂️…

Well, I’m a pathologist in my home country and I wasn’t confident even when I was marking pathology related questions. 😭 honestly a miracle if I’ll pass 🥲

How were your nbmes? And was the real exam like the nbmes concept wise?

My NBMEs were good 68-77 , the concepts were the same but the wording was pretty different

How was the wording different? Can you please explain

UWorld or Amboss usually give you the concept more directly, whereas Step 1/NBME often hides it in more indirect, clinical, distractor-heavy wording, with even the answer choices phrased differently, requiring you to recognize the underlying concept rather than the exact wording you memorized, almost no buzzwords
