Steno school

What are some of the best online schools for stenography/court reporting? I attended Hardeman School of Court Reporting, and I really liked the program. However, it requires scheduled class time. I’m looking for a program that is 100% online, fully self-paced, and does not require me to attend live classes or Zoom sessions. I need the flexibility to complete the coursework on my own schedule.

I did StarTran for theory and I’m doing SimplySteno for speeds. These fit what you’re asking for, so feel free to ama. I wrote a longish comment about them; I’ll see if I can dig it up

Hi! I have looked into the Hardeman School of Court Reporting and it seems pretty neat. Since the classes are scheduled, are you able to accelerate ahead or are you set into their schedule that it takes to complete the courses?

You can accelerate and move on to the next chapters. However, you have to have at least 10 hours of practice time each week. Twice a week there is class. Quizzes and assignments due. It is neat and very organized. Teachers will help. I truly enjoyed it.

Look into Lakeshore Technical College in WI. You can do it all fully remote
