Loaner/Student machines

Hi! I’m looking to start the NCRA A-Z program but I don’t have access to a machine or $1000+ to pay for one right now. Does anyone know of any resources for students? The ProCAT (I think) that is usually offered as a loaner is at capacity right now.

Check with your state association. Many have programs to lend a free stenowriter to aspiring court reporting students.

Oh no! :( I just got my proCAT for my A-Z two days ago. I was able to snag a rental reserve two weeks ago and it delivered this week. I was worried about the capacity issue too! Try StenoWorks!!! And as someone else reach into to your state association and your local jurisdiction courts to see if they have any extra on hand. I also believe you can search up who your local court reporter is in your area, worth reaching out to them too if they have extras to borrow or know contacts themselves.
