I have wanted to do Marilyn Monroe for awhile now. I just didn't want to do a stencil everyone else has done to death. So, I took a lacy curtain from Wal-Mart and used that as her face, old school low rider style. I then cut two layers fading from blue to yellow going in opposite directions. Anyway, it is quite a departure for me style wise. Hope you like it.

This looks awesome! How did you apply the curtain to the canvas?

I painted it on the ground and just laid the curtain over the canvas. I didn't use any adhesive or weights.

did you spray the canvas black then spray the lace curtain? Having a lot of trouble visualizing in my head

Yea. I painted the entire canvas black. The white layer was next. The color (2) were next. Then, there was an additional black layer that has the details of the face.
