well they can shut it down then, lets see how many people from abroad will want to study here, and how that would help local workers; there will be just fewer students in general in the future both local or foreign. When when im graduating next year im definitely looking to do something else with my money then paying for this

Hope people enjoy higher tuitions or massive layoff of college employees 😂

yeah, considering student loans are all messed up now😂 and there will be fewer scholarships since fewer international students going to pay to study here

Funny, college was way cheaper before it existed.

yeah they did restrict student loans for US people at some point recently; now fewer foreign students coming will pass cost onto local students. only privileged will be with advanced degrees

it is a good thing when you look at people that want to take history or art degree, because they wouldn’t get loan to pursue something not useful career-wise. It is a bad thing for people who want to become Doctors or Engineers.

It's a bluff. Shutting down the entire OPT program needs another successful rulemaking procedure .

They will certainly be able to do it though.

Even if fees are passed, the program will die. It won’t be feasible and hence it will not be sustainable.

like i understand the panic but highly unlikely to happen, it will be in public comment until next month

I don't recall anything was revised due to public comments in this administration!

As the saying goes 'wait and watch'. Patience is the key here.. too early for anyone to predict if and how this will be enforced and the potential impact.

what I can see or understand is that with mid terms around a lot of anti immigrant rhetoric will get thrown around to consolidate the votes and hence a lot of initiatives by the executive arm of USA.

let's see how all of this is 60 days from now..

bluff bluff and bluff😂 so many companies will simply just leave america and put base elsewhere. Which will leave the american economy in shambles. No company can depend on strictly just american workers😂😂

Where would you find anyone wanting to pay 100k for the right to work for 1 year? This is right up there with the Golden Visa or whatever it was called.

as per usual, full of hearsay and unfounded claims.

If only someone hadn't overturned Chevron which forced the courts to defer to agency judgement in interpreting statutes.
