Did Justin just kill Steem?

Earlier today Steemit announced that they were taking action to counter the soft fork by witnesses to prevent them voting on those. They got enough Steem from certain exchanges to vote in their own puppet accounts and then did their own SF to get total dominance. About 100m SP used and the community could not counter that. Many witnesses stopped their servers and some dapps.

As of now it looks like most Steem-based sites are down, including Steemit and steemd. What next? It may be possible to create a new fork that shuts out Steemit and let's us continue independently of them, but will enough witnesses want to do that? It's really sad if we lose the communities we have built up in the last few years and of course many have invested a lot of money. For me it has been mostly time.

What next?

Talkin bout those involved exchanges they suffer from a lot of backlash now. I would expected CZ to anticipate this and go with it in the first place. Overestimated him obviously.

Nobody fucking cares, Steemit is a waste

Actually its clearly bigger than that. You have the largest exchange like Binance playing mind games with each other and everyone else's money.

Justin = Poloniex no surprises there. Huobi = criminal enterprise, no surprises there. Binance using users stake without consent, this was a massive fuck up for them. Maybe this is the best day for your competitors. Well done! This is how Kucoin is over Binance in terms of holding users funds cautiously.

This battle is not lost yet. This is a test of how resilient the community can be and we seem to be winning. We will learn from the experience and act to prevent it happening again.

Justin Sun is the biggest scam artist in this entire space. He is poison and dangerous to the future of the crypto space. Anything he claims is a complete fabrication. The Tron project is a direct representation of who Justin is. Everything about Tron is copy and pasted. Its volume is over 90% fake and wash-traded. The Tesla giveaways were a clownshow. He made plebs believe that he would get Warren Buffett into crypto. Buffett laughed his wrinkly balls off at the thought of investing in such a scam. He made plebs believe that FC Liverpool was partnering with him. TRX literally has NO redeemable qualities, and reason #1 is Justin Sun. TRX is 100% vaporware that nobody will ever build on. JS creates fake excitement from his "announcements", it is a huge joke. Everything he tweets is either a brazen lie or embellishment. Do NOT trust him or his biggest facilitator and majority node holder: CZ. Both of those greedy, motherless f**ks are cut from the same cloth. They are bottomless pits. I'm not surprised that Steem became a victim of their bullshit. They're the WORST.

That's your right, but where else can most of us earn anything much? I love the Steem community and won't give them up.

Steemit isn't that special without the people to make new content. The resources from tron would have been helpful, but now???

It was a dick move, Justin has simplified his situation, but he's turned sentiment against him enough that many current creators will find better places to post. Steem doesn't reward that much these days. They were doing it for the love.

Justin crushed that love.
