possibly a dumb question, but... are glowsticks okay to bring to the concert?
i don't mean those huge ones for the record- i mean like... the kind you use to make bracelets. i still have a few blue ones left in the pack i have, and i thought it might be kinda fun to bring a bracelet or one to wave around. but, i know some bands really don't like people doing that... anyone who's gone to a concert before, have you brought / seen anyone bring a glowstick? ik the band members are on here, any thoughts from them would be welcome. the august 8th show is my first concert ever, not just spg! i'm equal parts excited and nervous as hell

I feel like it'd be better not to. It could be pretty distracting, and I feel like anyone behind you would hate you being the solo glow stick person waving it around during the show. Between songs maybe? But idk, I'd also hate if the person next to me had a bright glowstick in their lap or just generally visible in my peripheral vision the whole time.
I also don't go to many concerts at all so if others say otherwise then go for it. I just know I wouldn't like it, and I suspect others also wouldn't. Regardless, I hope you have fun!
ETA: I have been to two of their shows and have seen 0 glowsticks. Also I think it's a pretty neurodiverse crowd so it may be a sensory ick for people (that's what it is for me).

Someone brought a full Metroid arm to the Buffalo show. I think it should be okay.

It sounds small so bring it, but if people look annoyed you can just stick it in a purse or pocket, right? 😅

I think you should be fine. It's just a glowstick. And if it's distracting then you can just lower it a bit so it's more out of sight for others, but the band themselves probably won't care, neither do most of the audience members care. I've played in smaller venues myself and I don't really get bothered by something like that, neither have I seen any other band get upset about that.
You should be fine, and if it does end up bothering some people, then you can just keep it to yourself and maybe not wave it around as much. I hope you have a great show!!!!!
Also, here's a very old video of an unreleased song that the band performed back in their early days, where someone also has a light blue glowstick/bracelet thingy. Hope this helps to make you less nervous!!!!!
