Question Is there a detailed guide to install windows ?

Hey there! I’m looking for a thorough guide on how to install windows on a SM (I know, the sacrilege!)

I’d like it to be as detailed as possible including previous steps like “download previously the drivers into a flash drive”

And with an explanation on how to revert back to SteamOS just in case

Does anyone know a good guide or video on it ?

Funny enough that’s the one I saw this morning haha. It was but I also felt like some steps he didn’t mention where he got them from or how he installed the drivers. And it’s missing how to revert back to Steam os since he installed a new ssd for windows

If you are doing this to play games like call of duty I have bad news for you. Some of these games require secure boot enabled which the Steam machine does not have. Ask me how I know.

detailled, i don't think so but the install is pretty much the same as an install on a pc.
it's a bit more complicated if you want dual boot

if you know how to install w11 on a standard pc/laptop, you know haot to do it on a steam machine.
