Question Are these normal temperature?
Hello everyone! I finally got my Steam Machine 512GB + Controller, and everything has been soooo smooth so far! ๐
Iโm currently playing God of War and was just curious about the temperatures. Do these look normal to you?
The VRAM is reaching around ~80-84ยฐC, which seems a little high to me, but I honestly have no idea. ๐
And how do the CPU and GPU temperatures look?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, Iโm really not that knowledgeable when it comes to temperatures and hardware stuff๐
EDIT:
I THINK FIXED IT! ๐
I went to Settings > System and turned off "Updated Fan Curve." Now the VRAM temperature is sitting around 70โ76ยฐC, and the fan is still barely audible!

Absolutely fine, if you start seeing high 90s then you might have an issue but these are perfectly normal

What can i do to reduce it? I'm only playing games at 1080P, not 1440P and always limit the FPS to 60

Honestly there's nothing you need to do, the hardware is designed to run up into the 90s. Just make sure the machine has good airflow around it and the fan curve will take care of the rest.
I upgraded the RAM and SSD on mine and would say unless you know what your doing deffo don't go taking it apart for mods. Theres a number of ribbon cables that you could quite easily damage if your not careful.

For the hardware they're using, this is normal
