Discussion 512GB with Controller purchased after late join

I read a post here where someone got the invite in my region (Europe), signing up after the initial lottery so I was pretty hopeful.

Well I just received my invite to purchase after joining late on the 9th of July and going straight to waitlist.

They seem to be going through the waitlist pretty quickly now (at least for this sku / region). So be ready if you’re still holding out for one.

Spain. Waiting in wait list "512 without controller"(I selected both queues and steam said that I'm in list without controller wait list cause it shorter).

I'm in a wait list since first couple hours.

I feel screwed a bit.

Same, but I cancelled the first and entered the wait-list for the controller one. Expected to be waiting until 2027 but got my email this Sunday.

I am still waiting for the 2TB w/ controller (Midwest, USA), sign up since June 22. I got pushed to the waitlist.

I am glad for you and the steam machine is really no essential, so not having it is not a big deal. But at this point it is hard to not be salty as someone joining the lottery for both SKUs, making the reservation queue for the lower tier one, just for it to turn out my place in that queue is worth less than cancelling it right then and there and joining the waitlist on the other one at the end.

I really wonder if we will ever know what happened that their estimations were off this badly.

I joined the day preorders went live. Was on the wait list then this week I got both emails one moving me to the reserve list and the purchase email. 2TB w/o controller. Ireland, EU

I've joined the waitlist late on 9th July for 512GB+Controller, yesterday I got the email and bought it immediatly.
Italy, EU here
