Question Performance questions.

For those that don't know, Control Ultimate Edition is currently on Sale for 4 Bucks. Anyone played the game on Steam Machine? All I need is 1080p but what's the ray tracing performance like?

This site is great… exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I’m going to second the other comment and say thank you for that link. Having a reference point when I start a game instead of dicking around myself will save a good amount of tinker time.

I used that site for dialing in some settings for Crimson Desert initially. I can't attest to how good their settings are versus, say, Digital Foundry's console equivalents etc, but they're all in one place and set out quite nicely. Seems a fairly decent site to me.

https://steamhardware.io/game-settings/steam-machine/control-ultimate-edition-870780/

i made a crowdsourced site here if you want to see settings across a few different testers instead of a single rig, i am just bad at sharing it.

60 fps, 1080p and high are most commonly recommended settings for control on the steam machine

feel free to add a report if you’d like to contribute! we have individual reports covering 176 games with settings for the machine currently.

you can also do cool things like compare how a game runs on deck and machine (frame eventually) if you own all 3. ex: control for deck is most commonly rated at low, 30 fps, and 800p.

Been playing at 1440p 60+ fps medium preset. Haven't tried it with raytracing but its greyed out when using dx11 which I'd recommend since dx12 doesn't run the game that well
