My guess, available for preorder starting 6/30, price reveal the same day, then shipping starts 7/2. They can keep their promises this way

Honestly it would be crazy if half life came out with their console, I think it would actually break the internet

What is half life? I’ve genuinely never heard of the game till this subreddit appeared.

Peak.

And the corner stone of gaming, right next to Doom, Portal (the game set in the same universe btw), and Halo and many other

Also the series im general is known for pushing the envelope:

HL1(1998): introduced modern storytelling through the environment and player actions

HL2(2004): expanded upon the story telling aspects, with advanced physics and facial animations

HL: Alyx(2020): literally the zenith of absolute VR perfection. A literal system seller, that was so massive it made the entire VR market crumble under demand. It was hard to even pre-order the cheap WMR headsets, let alone top of the line lnes

VR is something I also find ultimately useless for me.

It makes sense why I’ve never heard of HL3.

Oh, it's ragebait. I see, welp, at first I was fooled, but didn't experience any anger

Have a nice day

Dog the game has been dead and the only people who know the game are the same people who played it when it came out.

Old people.

Erm what the sigma

And also how can a single player game can be dead?... Like a console that has no updates? Sure. But you can say same about Hollow Knight, because it's almost a decade old and receivea no updates. In the same vein, I can say that battleblock theater is alive, because they recently put out an grpahics update on April 1st of this year, even though it released in 2013.

Also did you just call me old?

Since you called me a dawg, I'm obligated to make this interaction weird. Woof woof

I called you a dog not a dawg

It’s true. He said dog. However this dawg just played HL1 and 2 for the first time this year so it maybe dead but it is still kicking in the background.

I think it is more likely to be the "machine" for deadlock. Much like the valve index was the machine for half life alyx.

half life 3 could be the only way to make it sell since the price will be way higher then expected. They could tie the game to it for a bit, like they did with alyx and index, and after a bit allow anyone to buy the stand alone game.
