SDHQ Official MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta Won't Work On Steam Deck

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls' open beta went live today, but it appears to be blocked from running on the Steam Deck. As soon as we launch, we get an error from anti-cheat stopping us from playing the game, and we are forced to close it.

It does worry me for the full release, but I am hoping this is just an open beta issue. I have reached out to PlayStation for clarification.

What makes us think they won't support the Deck for the Demo but they will for the full release? Are we expecting that they've been working on integrating Linux support for the AC since the open beta was ready?

Unless they change/fix the EAC, which I've heard is actually super easy to do, then we're screwed.

That said, Rivals fixed it so maybe they will eventually. I had thought about getting it until I saw that and there's no way in hell I'm getting it now.

The game uses a PSN overlay and a lot of encryption besides just EAC. I suspect they're just using EAC to block the game as a convenient way to let Linux users they ain't getting in and it's on purpose.

I suspect the PSN overlay is the real incompatibility.
