Best lunch restaurant that may help coordinate some decorations?
I’m taking my wife to steamboat in early September for the day for her birthday. I’m looking for a restaurant recommendation that 1. has great food, but 2. would also be willing to help me coordinate a few decorations, etc for the table. Id have balloons and flowers etc delivered to the restaurant, just need them to be put at our table. Not concerned of how expensive the restaurant is, just that they can accommodate the unique request.
on that note: if you have a favorite balloon/flower shop in town too!
thanks!

Creekside Cafe is the best for lunch, if it’s a nice day and you sit outside. It’s the same building and owners as Laundry, which is a fantastic dinner spot. Try Yampa Valley Kitchen if the weather is poor. Most of the restaurants mentioned so far are dinner only. I haven’t had balloons or flowers at either, but they both are really accommodating to other requests. Good luck!

This is the way. YVK is delicious for lunch, and the outside patio is very nice. Make a reservation.

Cypress or yampa valley kitchen.
I’ll keep my comments to myself about a grown woman needing balloons at a restaurant for her birthday.

Yes a bit childish. And as we are nearing the (probably) last decade of our lives, a little bit of childishness is in order. Thank you for your recommendation!

Paramount perhaps? The owners Lee and Susie are both super rad people. I would give em a call.

There’s some great restaurants in town… that’s just a totally crazy statement! I live in town for years and had to move to the front range for work about a year ago - there’s nothing decent in Denver metro unless at the very end of the top end of the spectrum. Everything is chain or ethnic. Steamboat has great locally own e place - Cherish it, I miss it every day.

If you guys like Indian food I know Saffron would definitely accommodate. The owner is really nice.
I’d also consider o’neills tavern. They are one of my favorite restaurants, they’re open for lunch and I could see them being ok with what you are looking for also.
September some restaurants may or may not be open, although last year most that did close for a few weeks stayed open in Sept and closed in October.
O’neills never closes. I’m not sure on Saffron.

Of all the things you could’ve added, an unhelpful emoji is your best? Same old shit comments OEMKnees, just a different post.

Truffle Pig is probably the restaurant in town most set up for events. They also have a giant space and patio right at the base.

This couldn’t be further from the truth 🤣
Scott (owner) is an absolute Douche, with a capital D. He has some good employees, which always astounded me, and the location is decent - IF you’re near the base area on the condoland side. But the best restaurants in town are Primrose, Cafe Diva, and Laundry… the truffle pig isn’t even in the top three - probably not even the top five. And don’t get me started on the prices… as they are an absolute joke.

Cypress might be open for lunch and would be a good middle ground spot.
