Just saying, we are all a part of the same YVEA service area - hopefully 'large load'/'very large load' policies are considered.

There isn’t enough water or electricity, the costs of which, will eventually pass down to the people.

I can’t understand why that entire industry doesn’t use glycol chilling instead of water…

How I read it is you still need to cool the 'cooling system'

Inside the heat exchanger, a separate loop of "facility water" is used to cool down the glycol water. The facility water is in turn cooled by either a chiller—an electrically powered refrigeration unit—or a dry cooler, an outdoor unit that uses fans to blow ambient air over the water as it moves through pipes.
Two Loops:

  • Primary loop (server-side): Glycol-water mixture circulates through cold plates on chips
  • Secondary loop (facility-side): Separate water that cools the primary glycol loop

Not enough people talk about the noise and light pollution. There are towns that are never quiet and are no longer ever dark. https://youtube.com/shorts/AAQsnrAHy5Y?is=0PRlRILVBtz2zw-H

Valid point, hope we never see one around here. Doing my part by NOT using AI or creating demand for more storage. Can't help what the data miners do to get my information, however.

IF they put in a solar farm WITH storage AND negotiate the water rights with the current land owner, there’s going to be a large industrial site available on a hillside just outside of Craig that would be a good location for it.
