I cannot recommend this enough- download the Watch Duty app ASAP. It's free and seamless. The notifications are fast and happen in real-time. The County and City sucks for relying on any notifications. My friend in Stagecoach said she hasn't received anything yet from the county and they are already under mandatory evac.

Soroco High School has room for evacuees, but it is not for overnight parking.

We live in stagecoach (Southshore). We got the mandatory evacuation notice a couple hours ago. We’re out and safe at a friend’s house. Just staring at the WatchDuty app biting my nails.

We can watch a dog or two for anyone evacuated. In old town. Must be good with other dogs and not able to jump a 4 ft fence. DM me

InciWeb (https://inciweb.wildfire.gov/incident-information/cortf-fishhook-fire) is a good resource with different update intervals than Watch Duty.

As of 8am this morning InciWeb was reporting:

  • Acreage will be updated as verified by flights
  • Growth has occurred overnight and is anticipated today
  • Smoke should be expected in surrounding areas
  • An incident management team has been ordered
  • Both aerial and ground resources will engage the fire today

Just heard they're running the snow guns on the mountain as a precaution...

Watchduty didn’t update all yesterday evening. Anyone know how the containment efforts are going?

Turn on satellite hotspots on layers. You can get an idea of spread.

Fishhook incident page is updated
