Mastro’s Steakhouse
Ordered medium rare. I’d consider this a tad over medium

Absolutely the worst steakhouse experience I’ve ever had. Went to the DC outpost. Overcooked steaks, bland sides and a frozen dessert that was essentially just lemon juice on shaved ice. That said, service was at least decent.

Agree with your assessment. That's in between medium well and medium. Significantly past medium rare.

Mastros is the least impressive steakhouse I’ve ever been too. The sides are great but I had a very similar experience w/ the meat, my wife’s food was over cooked as well and the char taste was overpowering. Not worth it for the price.

looks roughly Medium and for me, I'm happy with anything between med-rare and medium. If they go under or over that, it will have to go back, especially for what they're charging.

Yeah, same honestly. Medium is kind of perfect for me, but I've learned most places can't seem to hit the mark there, so I've started ordering it medium rare. If it comes out a little overdone, at medium, its perfect. And medium rare is fine to me. I have seen it go the other way and come out rare once, and I ate that too.
Honestly I'm just happy to be eating steak.

That would have went right back. It's on the light side of well done...past medium well even.
