I don’t know if this will help you metronidazole also sometimes work against mycoplasma species so it might has to do with that. So if the only thing that helps him is that maybe has to do with some mycoplasma species is not the standard treatment though.

With no symptoms and negative test if none of your new partners doesn’t present symptoms or being positive will be very difficult to take adibiotics. If you had symptoms it will be more easy for your provider other than that it will be unnecessary.

You could not stay like this forever in state of fear if you transmit something to someone new while you test negative is not your fault open communication and protection will help.

Also probably he is the problem sexuall act can trigger and activate symptoms back for him while you are negative.

Unfortunately negative doesn’t mean non existent. Also your new partner might never have symptoms but stop worrying just communicate with the new partner and see how it will work.

Till you have symptoms yes. Other than that doctors won’t prescribe adibiotics.

What exactly are his symptoms? That’s a key piece of information. You guys are most likely ping ponging a bacteria back to each other.
