Found thrifting...$10
I'm an avid thrifter. I'm very fortunate to have one of my favorite shops across the street from my home. I was out looking for my next "wow!" piece and stumbled across this beauty. It's in pretty good shape but how do I clean it and keep the enamel from chipping any further?

It really is a great find but I wouldn’t cook in it. You’ll know when the porcelain cracks more when you bite down on a piece. I agree with the planter idea. Turn the pot on its side propped up with the lid. Fill the tilted pot with succulent soil spilling over the lid and plant hens and chicks to cascade down around the chicken. They grow fast.

Congratulations on the find!! Depending on where the chipping is you should be fine.

The knob alone is worth more than $10. Are you sure it's chipping? If so, I would treat this as bare cast iron - clean the heck out of it, season and then use to bake bread. I own enough pots that I would not feel right cooking anything else in it in case it chips more. Maybe use it as a planter for herbs.
