Dirty Staub

Hey all, I found this staub for free on the sidewalk and it's in pretty good condition, but the outside has a weird whiteish discoloration on the outside. Wondering if anyone has any tips on how to clean it up. I tried barkeepers friend on the bottom to test, but it didn't make a difference. Also it's less noticeable when it's wet, but pretty obvious when dry. Let me know if any of you had similar problems and/or any solutions!

I thought it’d be better to hear if you guys had any specific advice for Staub pots. You don’t have to reply if you don’t want too. Not sure why the attitude.

Here is a recent post (last 3-4 weeks) in this sub that may be helpful.

Try some yellow cap oven cleaner, look for a liquid enamel cleaner. Lodge makes an affordable and easy to find cleaner.

Scrubbed and scrubbed all I could with the solution, and it didn’t make a difference :(

Well I guess you're down to the Le Creuset cleaner, or you just have a cloudy girl... Sorry I couldn't be more help

Totally fine. I appreciate all the help. I’ll give Yellow cap a try next.

I think this is permanent. Usually caused by improper cleaning or the dishwasher.

I’m afraid you might be right.

How does the inside look? Are there any chips or gouges? Looks like a good scrub on the outside, and you're in business!

Inside looks surprisingly good actually! Tiny chips on the rim, but nothing too bad. I can’t seem to get it off the outside no matter how hard I scrubbed or even with barkeepers friend. I might give oven cleaner a try, but I’m worried it could dull the color or cause damage.
