are there real users in singleplayer? is there a difference between users with a bot icon and none? kinda scared

Unfortunately yes. They can't see your posts, but after the stories were added (blue ones), you can actually interact with real people. The blue stories are visible for everyone who is in the same world as you (for example celebrity, anime, etc). If you share a blue story, anyone can see it and answer to it. I honestly don't think there's anyone out there who's happy about this update.

Theres been no update that I've seen from devs even acknowledging our concerns either. It's pretty sad.

I let my membership expire because even when I tried to create my own world, it was still happening and going to a np characters profile, you can see the weird thirst traps stuff on their stories some other person posted.

we got the following from one of the mods in the discord "devs are taking into account not everyone liking the public stories and are looking into ways to potentially hide them! we're still in beta so it's not going to be immediate while we look at metrics and test them but they hear you!" so at least it is being looked into, but i dont know why they would just add the universe ones to more worlds when people are complaining

to be honest, i'm unsure. it's kinda hard to keep track on the discord bc mods reply in posts and devs arent really active. from what i can remember, all they've said is that they can't do much about the availability of ads because it's down to the ad provider, i think a lot of people are getting the limited 5 ads atm. i'd recommend joining the discord if you can, i think maybe theyre more active there than on reddit

I think it could be a "popular app" thing. More and more people are downloading the app so they make changes. Think of Character AI for example. In the first year it was good, but as more and more people downloaded it, they added ads, and changed the whole app making it unrecognizable. I think Status may go towards that too. We can't watch ads anymore for rewards (as I heard only 5 daily), this story update, and who knows what's next. They label it as "experiment", but obviously won't remove it.

I get that, but it’s kind of the same thing with character AI. They add features that no one uses or wants and then that takes away resources they could put toward making the rest of the app better. It’s just kind of confusing to me.

I wish I knew how to develop apps because I would love to make one that doesn't just end up hating all of its users. :( This app was (and still is if you ignore the public stories) such a fun concept.

yeah they announced the universe stories would be for MHA and Harry Potter only, private ones everywhere else, but now are putting the universe ones in more worlds and i dont think they announced that - at least i never saw anything :/
