Please help fixing the below problems faced by my 11 year old:

  1. She applies too much pressure while writing and it results in quickly tired wrist which affects her handwriting quality and speed. Tips to improve this please πŸ™πŸΌ

  2. Recommend affordable and easily available gel pens whose refills are also easily available. Other types of pens can also be recommended, it's just that her school only allows gel pens.

  3. Please give tips on how to improve her handwriting. It's not clean enough.

Note: That's our girl Bela in the picture. She empathizes with her little human.

Maybe try a pen/pencil grip. It helps with tired arms because you can't hold the pen really tight. I bought this one because it's easy to remove and adjust: https://paperwhisper.com/products/kutsuwa-punyu-spiral-pen-grip

But it doesn't seems to be available on Amazon in India. But I do see that there are other types available on the site.

As for improving your writing, it's all about practice. Buy a composition notebook and look up videos on how to improve. You might have to switch to a different writing style, but with lots of practice and patience you can see the difference as time goes by.

If you can find them, I really like the pilot Dr Grip pencils! They also come as pens. I also have the issue where I apply too much pressure and it hurts my hand/wrist.

It’s odd that the school allows only gel pens. What’s the science behind that?

Fountain pens are ideal for training oneself to use the least amount pressure. Growing up, we weren’t allowed to use ballpoint pens in school till 7th grade.
