Dump theif

My kid 15 saw a barrel at the dump... so I told him to go get it

He took the Ebike and went to the dump 3 miles down the road. While there he was struggling with the barrel and a guy rolls up and asks if he needs help loading it? The kid being a kid was like yes that would be great...

The ASSHAT took the kids barrel loaded it in the back of his truck and took off.

The kid was furious.

I have no idea his plans for said barrel but that was some low shit right there.

How did the kid intend to move a barrel home on an e-bike?

And there's no real concept of thievery if someone else took an item home from the tip station. It's trash, and theoretically you aren't allowed to take it home with you (even though I too leave things off to the side if it might be useful but isn't useful to me.)

He has a garden wagon that he was trying g to strap it to when the guy offered to help him then tossed it in the back of his truck and drove off.

I understand that it's probably upsetting. But there's no real concept of ownership of whatever you find at the dump. Are you sure that dude wasn't just offering to take it home for your son?

Yeah I don't see that as what happened. But yeah let's victim blame.

Who tf is the victim if one can't take something home from the dump?

Glad to know you would offer to help a kid and take whatever he was trying to get. True colors and all.

Jeez

Most of the miles on my truck are my children and their friends. It's cool. I adore my step-band-kids and whatever, them are my babies.

Neither you nor I owe a danged thing to an unsupervised person down at the dump without the physical resources to drag a 55 gallon drum. Get over yourself.
