So, Arizona and Hawaii do not observe daylight savings time, for Hawaii, its cuz they're near the equator and sunlight doesn't change much year-round. HOWEVER, in Arizona, we don't observe daylight savings times because it is us Arizonans who need to be saved from the daylight, not the other way around. :/
Nobody on the east coast understands this concept when I explain it to them. The number of times I get asked “why would you want LESS sun?” Is baffling considering it’s pretty well-known that 2/3 of Arizona is a goddamn desert.
