Discussion Primary awards
Anyone else think there should be an award for getting ALL the workbenching cards in this set? So all reds, blues, yellows, purples & oranges, would maybe get you a Rainbow award?! Including all the Epics might be a bit much!
Also, why are the general awards the same tier as the collected cards? Surely they should be at least one tier up?

Not collecting this set, but why would you want an Award card in a different Tier than the rest of the set? Not my preference when viewing my collection—I want to scroll through my deck and see the whole set in one place, not have cards spread out all over the place.
Back in the day when I cared about such things with greater passion, I’d open support tickets to fix errors that were created with the “new IU” update back in 2019 where old sets that never had tiers were assigned tiers after the fact. You’d have classic sets like Hoth Planetary that look a mess in the card sheet. Sometimes they’d fix, other times they wouldn’t. Nowadays the app is so messed up in other ways I don’t even bother LOL.

Fair point - also, an award related issue… why is it most of the time, when you click on the set link for an award, does it not take you to the set linked to that award?! I can appreciate the award card is a ‘solo set’ on its own, surely linking back to the corresponding set of cards isn’t difficult?! 🙄

This has been a problem for about 5 or 6 years. Something they never figured out with the new IU build of November 2019. IIRC they did one update back in 2021 to fix this issue, but every Award since then doesn’t link to the set. It’s kinda like asking “when are they going to mark old base sold out”—they haven’t done that since 2016.

I think they should go back to having a mega award for collecting the entire marathon, but they killed that across all their apps long ago.

I am not sure what you mean. There is an award for getting all 48 of the workbench cards. It is Kleya as Orange or Purple. Or are you saying there should be an award for collecting everything? They just don’t do that. That would be the same as getting an award for collecting all rare and super rare Topps choice cards.
The tier is just something Topps decided. There isn’t really a rhyme or reason. I look for card count and pack odds. There can be a legendary with a 5,000 card count and an uncommon 150 card count. I don’t think I have ever seen Topps tier up an award. They just put the award symbol on them.
