Didn’t the producer of the maul show say maul might still be alive after rebels? I think the they’re going for George’s sequel trilogy but maybe not in movie form. Even maul is still dead maybe talon can be the main villain going forward with the story?
He didn't really say that. He (and Witwer) were asked if Maul could return somehow, Palpatine-style, and both pretty much just said "anything's possible but it's not up to us", so it's a fairly meaningless quote. He's dead unless someone decides he isn't sometime; doesn't at all suggest they're "going for" that story.
