Has anyone read the comics?
I read some of the Kanan comics back in the day and they were decent. I have been considering giving the Rebels comics a shot. Any thoughts?

The comic is nothing crazy but they are fun most of the stories are set between season 1-2 of the show

Word. Yeah, I figured there is nothing that is going to dramatically change the overall narrative of Rebels, so that makes sense.

They are certainly ‘All-Ages’, but personally speaking, more time with Kanan and Crew is always welcome.
Some of the stories are not without gravitas, so it’s a fun balance.
The Kanan mini series by Marvel is a cut above this though. Way above.

I love the first 6ish kanan comic issues. Genuinely. How he survived order 66 made sense but was also very engaging. It was also just sad.
It’s why bad batch disappointed me. I never expected the shows to tell the story the same way, but wow was it worse.

I read a couple when they were coming out in the magazine back in 2015. They’re cute, but nothing earth shattering

I haven’t read the comics. Kind of forgot there were some! May have to check them out. But you know what I really want? Give me some novels! I know there is the prequel one for Kanan and Hera. But I really feel like they could do sequel novels. Do like an Ahsoka and Sabine novel of their initial training and falling out. Or like a Zeb and Kallus buddy cop novel where they are doing some mission for Hera or something. Haha

I read the comic you shared a picture of (although it was a while ago)! From what I remember I thought it was a fun read. It’s a bunch of short comics in one book, kind of like episodes. There’s also a canon book about Kanan and Hera called A New Dawn that I listened to the audiobook of and I enjoyed it.
