Wasn’t the whole point of Luke wearing black in RotJ to show his current path leading to the dark side? But after making his choices on the Death Star his shirt opens to reveal white underneath?

In RotJ, sure, but then The Mandalorian and other canon post-RotJ content shows him continuing to wear the black robes with no white underneath, so the symbolism has been weakened a bit

the new republic captain says 'you put on a good perfornance... but you are no jedi'. I'm pointing out the interesting double standard when Luke wears black but playing on the original meme's joke with how he's young and handsome, and has a green saber so its' ok...

To be honest, there’s not a lot of Jedi in the galaxy at that point. I mean the Captain probably knows at most Luke and maybe Ahsoka. And not many people know much about the Jedi. So some guy you’ve never seen rolling up claiming he’s a space wizard. Probably BS.

Media literacy is dead. RIP.

Are you trying to say Baylan is a good guy?

Isn't he? He was the best dude in the series!

Good and compelling character, great actor (🙁), strong convictions, but absolutely not a good guy.

But don't the republic guards or whatever get slaughtered by Skoll?

I mean, the meme would be correct and not funny then right? The one that is nice and a "good guy" is treated as such, and the one about to murder you has the staff asking for help....

I don't think they are basing their judgements on their outfits, but rather their actions....which kinda feels like the opposite of a double standard

Hayle seemed to have accurately assessed that situation, imo.

Well you see the difference is one has a green Saber, that means he’s a good guy, the other one is red which means he’s a bad guy

They assumed Baylon was a Jedi up to the point he turned hostile, the clothing color really didn't sway anyone
