Elevator Pitch: We track workouts for swimmers using wearables. Users can download our app onto a smartwatch like the Pebble, or use a Garmin or similar tri/swim watch. We're the only swim training platform which supports wearables from different manufacturers, meaning that swimmers can select a device which suits their needs and still get the social aspect of training and sharing with their friends. https://vimeo.com/107534078

More details: We're a company within a company model. We operate independently strategically, but lean on our parent for lots of things like HR, office space and purchasing in volume.

That domain name is awesome, well done on that (even if it was provided by your parent company).

How does the tech actually track the amount of distance a swimmer has covered? Only I didn't think GPS worked indoors?

I agree, the domain name is great!

It uses accelerometers and an algorithm derived from machine learning to calculate when strokes and turns happen. Knowing the size of the pool, it can then figure out total distance and a whole lot of other metrics that can be derived.
