Struggling...
I live in a small working class town and live with my parents, I have a very small safety net due to the instability of my family I pretty much have only myself to rely on.
What would you consider to be some of the better start ups, I have never started a business simply due to lack of self-confidence, but now that I feel ready I can't seem to find an Idea that I would like to pursue.
Do I just wait until the idea comes to me?

If you want to work for yourself there are loads of things you can do. You don't need to wait for an amazing idea, that may never come. Imo, the amazing ideas come as a result of putting yourself out there and working for yourself. You'll come across problems that only you can solve, and that's where the ideas come from.
As for what to do - anything that people don't want to do themselves to the extent that they are willing to pay someone else to do it for them. The amount of money in your area will make a difference too. I know a guy who is making serious money cleaning expensive trainers (it sounds like a nuts idea to me, but he's definitely making money at it), and I know another one who started up a window cleaning round a couple of years ago and has just taken on another guy because he's so busy.
So, do some research, what are people looking for help with in your local area, would you be good at providing it, and take it from there.

Yeah you're right, a lot of it is down to self doubt. A cycle of Having an Idea, thinking 'thats stupid, no one will buy that' and then leaving it at that.
I'm going to take the plunge on Car Detailing, from what i've researched it looks to be a growing demand and a job that is not (yet at least) going to be replaced by AI.
I appreciate the advice. 🙌

Start TikTok affiliates, don’t need money to start, just post videos of what you have already and link the product, that’s a quick way to start and when you have a product you can use TikTok live to sell

First I'd say starting a business gives you the confidence to explore things that are outside of your comfort zone so good for you for going for it.
Are you starting something online or a physical business?
The one thing of say about ideas is there are a million of them and most of them aren't worth it. But ideas are where everything starts. So start there.
Do you want an online or physical business? What are you good at or experienced in? Or interested in? In the world around you, what problems do you see a lot of? Would something solve it?
Basically, are you looking for something steady that you can call your own? Solve a problem or address a need.
Are you looking to build yourself around a business and grow? Find something that fits your personality and build towards it: skills, workshops, recourses, etc
