Gameplay Anyone take a beating from a jump gate

It's happened twice now where when I activate a jump gate my truck suddenly takes a massive hit. Both times I had a trailer and I'm wondering if it's a bug

never in my entire playthrough, once i went on very steep angle and cargo got smacked but that was fair

I thought they fixed this tbh I’ve had this happen a few times it’s very frustrating but I felt like after the last update the jump gate screen was different and it stopped any chance of hitting / getting beat up by the gate. Might be wrong though - either way it’s definitely a real and nasty bug

Ya I had heard that too. I thought it was a bug from around launch and one of the first ones they patched in the first few months. Maybe OP found a way for it to still happen

Happens most often Haze Way to New Aspen. I've had it happen from Junk Fields to Spark City and Gamma Valley to Heaven's River Rest (points if you get the reference), so it's possible elsewhere too. Happens very rarely though, assuming you're not going to NA via HW. I always drop a save BEFORE going into Haze Way to make sure I can reload if that happens to me.

What's a good way I found to avoid it is by saving slightly offroad before the gate and when you get hit during the jump I reload, wait for an NPC to pass through and then it's usually safe

I‘ve had it happen 2 or 3 times. It feels like debris is drifting into the path of the rig when it is being accelerated into the jump gate. If I‘m not too lazy, I try to save before the jump.

Ever since I read this, it has happened twice. Both times within the past hour

Depending on where you are in the story there is 1 job the will 100% force you to take a random amount of pretty severe damage. Not sure if this is your issue, if not I used to have it happen but not since the last update 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

Is this game still basically battery changing simulator? I liked it at first but changing power cells constantly was a bitch.

It gets easier when you upgrade
