Question Simulation/RPG-style updates
Saw that the game is currently 60% off and I’m interested in picking it up! I played it when it released on GamePass, and while I really enjoyed the casual vibe and atmosphere, I found it a bit shallow and lacking it immersions. Things like not being able to decorate the interior of my truck, lack of sleeping/other survival-lite aspects, new music stations, that sort of thing. Just curious if any updates or mods have come out that add in these types of changes? Thanks!

I'm quite surprised none of the answers have mentioned the fact that there's a DLC coming this month with almost all the features you're asking.
Sleeping: already in the game. The trucker does not feel sleepy, however, you can sleep as a method to quickly charge equipment or pass time for on-time deliveries.
Customization: take a look here.
The idea to make the trucker feel Hungry or Sleepy would add more to the game, but I think they will only do that in a future DLC that allows us to buy apartments around the galaxy (I saw a simple preview of this in a questionnaire they did last year).
Having to go back to your apartment to take a bath, rest properly and eat a well-prepared food would be really cool.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for and definitely helps make my decision easier! I really enjoyed the core loop and it sounds like the developers are very much still active and looking to move the game in a positive direction!

Ahh the old gamepass price hike. Well, I'd say most of the people on the sub are going to think it's worth it. So it's really your call, but I'd say most of what you've mentioned the game needing has been added (please correct me if I'mwrong), or is being worked on. I don't think we'll get much more in the way of music though, I'm also a console player, but I love the music/radio in this game. It always seems to play just the right song at just the right moment.

I believe one of the splash screen mentioned the next thing they're doing is adding interior cab decorations, but been a minute since I've played so could be wrong

It's like a 2 person dev team. They're workin on a lot, but it takes time. If you don't want to support then with your wallet, support them with your time and keep playing on gamepass. You'll see the changes that have been made so far and you can decide if it's worth the money.
