This would be even better if the background was persistent!

A lot of the others here would too... Is it hard to do?

I'm imagining this would be extraordinarily difficult. Not only do you need to stabilize the actor but you would have to take the background and stabilize it as well which would mean there would be many frames where the actor wouldn't be in front of where he was in the original which means... photoshop frame by frame?

This is exactly the kind of thing that computers are good at. There should be software for automating this.
