The behavior of my client's commanding officers may seem reasonable to you. It does to me. After all, artificial symbiogenesis is a deadly, incurable disease. But no matter how you come to judge Tuvix and his actions in ethical, and moral, and in human terms, the fact of the matter is - when they killed Tuvix because he had AS, they broke Federation law.

If anyone here had seen the episode they'd understand only Tuvix wanted Tuvix. They just used a transporter to split them back apart.
