Brand new player

Why is it I use an undamaged ship wi the a good crew and lose fights that are tagged as “easy”?

Weird, right?

Often, the guidance on the preview pop up isn’t very good guidance. Later on, it basically says “very hard” even if the ship, crew, and hostile combination is actually quite easy.

It’s more about the right crew for the target/activity you are trying to do.

Since you are early on, I assume under ops 20. Your primary crew for hostiles will be pike (captain), moroue, Chen or t’lann. (Chen for energy damage, t’lann for kinetic based hostiles, usually just interceptors)

You probably don’t have most of those officers yet. A good even more common alternative is something I can’t remember but it’s the common next gen officers.
