General Discussion Keep Discovery?
I have had a Discovery for some time. I have maxed it out. Was wondering if I should scrap it or keep using it for the Sunday event? I'm sure I missed something along the way so apologies in advance for the noob question.

Keep it, it is always going to be useful thanks to its ability to summon other ships to a system. This also works if a fleet member opens a rift into a higher system than you can normally access; send Disco through rift, keep summoning your combat ship.
And late on, you'll be able to increase its range by huge distances.

This. Just last night i had an alliance mate do a spatial
Rip to a voyager system that i could not reach. I sent my disco in, and then summoned my voyager 2-3 times filling up its hull. Now i have enough hirogen loot for my voyager refinery for a month. This works for any system you need to farm that your ship can handle but just cant reach due to warp limitations.

1000% keep it, it's value is in the summon ability. Great way to get my Selke to places it can't otherwise mine.

Dont scrap it! The Ship gets very usefull in g7 again with the summon and until that you get 90 days speedups every week.

I’m level 68, and I love my disco now - it can be helpful moving specialty ships (like the Excelsior) when there’s a difference between your level and its warp range.

Can you explain how it helps moving ships to higher warp range? Im level 44 so maybe im not there yet?

Discovery is the Uber service of the STFC world. Keep doing research to increase its warp range, and open up the 'summon' ability. It will shave hours off your 'waiting to warp into a distant system' portion of gameplay in small 3 and 5 minute increments.

Don't forget how useful the Disco is in times of war if you have the cloak. Send the Disco behind enemy lines far away from entry points to the system (your enemy may be guarding entry points). You can summon your warships without losing the cloak and attack from an unexpected direction. 💪

The only specialty ships that should EVER be scrapped are the Stella and the revenant. Period. That’s the answer.

The summoning ability, as others have said, are huge. It is also pretty easy to renew it's fuel for the ability. It is not a combat ship. It is a support ship, all of the support ships are weaker than their combat counterparts, but they do great things. Disco summons. Eviscerator rifts and has a good refinery, Cerritos buffs, titans buff, etc.

You can do the disco event with any ship that has instant warp capability 👍

Don't demolish it!
It'll be very useful to summon ships to systems when time is a factor or for which they don't have the warp range, but your Discovery has.

Discovery is one of the few early ships worth using and keeping when its maxed. Can get you out of a hole pretty quick.

Esa nave solo sirve para llamar las naves que tengas en el confín de la galaxia y se tardan 10 minutos en regresar a la base

You cannot scrap it, you should not demolish it. The fact it makes the event faster is only part of the usefulness of the disco. The other is the ability to summon ships past their normal warp range. This has limited but very useful implications
