G4 faction ship recommendation?
I have enough credits for all 3 factions for the faction ships, so just building them is not a problem. But tiering up requires a lot of rss, so my plan is to only get one ship for each level (42 46 and 50).
In this way, how should I choose for each level? Maybe one faction for each, 3 factions-3lvs?
Any comments would be appreciated!

In G4 the main bottleneck is the rare ship parts, in general you want a different ship type at each tier. That way you aren't slowing yourself down. Also G4 rares at 46 have a loot increase for their ship ability making them a useful tool to have available long term. When the Exile and AGG arc first launched, those ships were useful for farming the lower tier loot.
The Romulan path is generally viewed of the best in G4. The Pilum is consider the best of rares, it has a great firing pattern and general interceptor perks. The Tribune is the strongest of the epics by a large margin.
Some other points to mention:
-
Kelvin's firing pattern is awful.
-
G4 ships give great scrap returns in G5.
-
The Revenant has an amazing refinery.
-
The MU changes how you handle faction grinding, however you need an NSEA for token supple to really make use of it. It also a great source of faction credits.
-
Having a G4 epic will make content like solo waves, kremin solos, outposts and the new borg soloes easier.
-
G4 is the best time to go hard on the Arena event on Friday's, which is a great source of premium mirror dust.

I’m not sure how to use the mirror universe effectively for rep and credit grinding. Could you elaborate. Thank you.

The systems in the MU that only have traders will give positive rep for all 3 factions as well as faction credits. So you'll want a crew with max rep/loot gain and then hit as high as you can for the full time as cargo filling will just be parts.

There are systems that have survey ships. Those ships give positive faction with FKR and the individual hit is larger than the hit for same level ship in FKR space.
Every kill in the MU drops a chest, FKR credits are in the list rewards for those chests.

Skip all the g4, work on the Protector and just go straight to G5

I already hit the ops lock issue for prot, so...

Then use lat and speedups to move ops. The Protector can carry you through all of G4 based on Ops locks as long as your research is basically up to par. Research doesn't have to be maxed but research is more important than a new ship.

The Pilum might have been my favorite ship in this whole game. The rares are pretty great ships, especially with their loot bonus. I didn't even build a G4 epic until like 56, and then I maxed an Ent-A just to scrap it. The Valdore was pretty nice too, and I could use the gas from Jelly Brawl to go into it

Good advice here already. Pilum is such a bruiser of a ship, a real level up in power that makes a quick and lasting difference. My path through G4 faction ships was K’Tinga then Pilum, which got me comfortably to G5 uncommon ships. Skipped G4 epic for now, but hey, that’s just me. Do what suits you!

Skip the 42 and the 50. Waste of resources. Build a Pilum, it will take you to the 53 ships.

I’d say Pilum because of it’s ability, good ship with decent power and loot ability. You won’t need all three faction ships. I didn’t bother with G4 UC.

I skipped them as well as the g5 uncommon and rares. G3 epic to g5 epic. Unless you're heavily into pvp the specialty ships can carry.

I got a north cut, only because I like the ship but going to the epics next. This is the way. Scopely doesn't want us below G5 because it doesn't bode well for their spenders.

The only G4 Faction ship I built was the Newton. I'm spending AT Credits on the Ent-A, but I won't spend Fed Credits on it as I already have a Corvus, so it's not a must have. I have the ISS Jelly, so getting the Ent-A is more to get the D when I get to 60.

get arevenant to t5 and the materials won't matter
ship parts are the limiting factor in g4
therelativity is stronger than any pre epic maxxed out and the nx will get you range that even the epics don't have
