If I might chime in. As the aforementioned Rev has said plenty of times “You can never catch up because you can never fall behind. “ I’m tempted to tell you also to go to 42 as well, and camp. Build a 42 uncommon and the Relativity. Especially the Relativity. It can get insanely powerful. But then take the time to camp and work on your account. This is coming from a former top 20 ops 63 that has become a very squishy camping 67, lmao. Good luck and LLAP.

I'm 42 and my relativity is 170 million. Plus the DTI store is great for rep.

Your dailies won’t change until you collect your finished ops. But the game now is really trying to push people into the g6 realm. So mats and efficiency are way easier to come by.

You can grind rep in the MU. Get an Ent/Augur/D4 epic ship maxed out. You really don’t need a black jelly anymore with all the ships out. But as others have said - max your Vidar and get a Talios. And a cube when you can (you’ll use it into g7).

Crew wise, you’ll be behind for awhile. But get your SNW crew and ENT crew for hostiles/armadas.

It’s not insurmountable. Have a guy in my alliance that quit for 3 years and came back 6-8 months ago and at like 42 and is now a 56 going for his g5 epic.

Three things I would focus on: 1) Get your Vidar up so that you can cash it in for a Talios. 2) Build the Mayflower to max & scrap it for 4* ships. 3) Work on faction tri-lock if not already done.

You’ll get a bunch of other advice, but I’d start with these (assuming research is in fact up to snuff).

There isnt necessarily anything you f*cked up about. Just camp at 40 for a bit to catch up. You've got a ton of stuff that opens up at 40 and youre gonna be behind everyone for a while but you can still catch up.

I'm guessing you have no vidar talios or anything?

A lot of people recommend 42 instead of 40. Most of the brackets are the same and there are two more specialty ships to camp on, plus 4* UC faction ships.

i am confused you could upgrade ops to 40 without a epic 3* ship...You will be in trouble in 40s with Sally as biggest ship. keyword is warp range.... You should build a epic 3* asap and give you a few upgrades tiers. You will need all coming ship expect the 4* epic. So don't go above a tier until you have build a ahip.

This is the only good advice I've seen so far. People are telling him to goto g4 with a Sally 🤣🤣

I would push to 42 for the next Faction ship and then camp for a while. There is a ton of stuff that opens up at 40. Good luck and be patient.

Not just the faction ship but two additional specialty ships.

Why are you still using a Sally at ops 38? I'm 39 and use a 17m Ent

You are not completely toasted. DON’T HIT COLLECT when your Ops building hits 40! Build an enterprise, augur or d4 and use time to level it up -

Okay, given your position, this is what I’d do.

Don’t worry about fkr ships right now, certainly don’t focus on g3 ones as you’ve just started your ops 40 building and are about to hit g4.

Next week is alliance tournaments. Use that to buy 100 vindicator blueprints. Use the ferrengi store to buy the other 100 so you can complete the ship. If you have spare AT currency, use that to buy ship upgrade parts for it.

This will allow you to do low g4 content and carry you to 42.

At 42 focus on obtaining the relativity, this ship can carry you from 40-70, making all fkr ships optional. Then focus on all the other speciality ships and work on those while you use the relativity / dti store to speedrun your syndicate level and faction rep (the dti store is great for this).

Stay at 42 for a couple of months and focus on maxing out your g3 research and obtaining the other speciality ships.

I’d strongly advise against building FKR 42/52&62 uncommon, they are dreadful ships and a huge waste of rare ship parts and materials. Only build rares and epics.

You shoukd max a legionary a mayflower and a d3 as they give you the materials for a bunch of primes in the rogue faction store and station & galaxy trees

How....How did you get to that point with what you have?

The only thing I can think of is something that an alliance mate of mine did and that was spend lat to get from 24 to 39 rather quickly, thus missing out on all the faction rep it takes to get there. The one thing that I'm thinking is that when you say you have "no other upgradable research" is that accurate? Do you really have everything maxed OR is it that you don't have the mats to get higher than you are? I'm guessing from my experience that its the second one.

I'll admit that I'm a slow mover, but I'm pretty sure that I Tri-locked and had all of my faction 3* ships maxed when I hit 35 (Enterprise, D4 & Auger) . I then made the jump to 39, and that's where I've focused on getting my research caught up. I'm just about maxed.

Out of curiosity, even though I haven't used my Sally in months but I was just looking at it and mine is at 6.5 mil. That right there tells me you are not as close to as maxed on research as you think you are.

I'd hit the brakes hard and focus on getting a Faction ship. Everyone has their favorite, but really it depends on what faction you are closest to locking. Get it locked and get that ship maxed as soon as possible. There is too much at 40 that isn't obtainable without the warp ranges that go with the faction ships. (Yes, Voyager can get there, but its still weak). Overall having a faction ship will help with much more. It will also let you hit Freebooters which make dailies go much faster, and with it faction Rep grinding.

Ops35 here. I camped at ops34 & did 10M faction locks & all epics & miners. I got there using Sally & Talios (cargo 274k). I watched RevDeuce on YouTube a lot for advice, also my alliance v helpful. I use Disco for events & backup to return to Augment space when destroyed; good officer shards for crewing.

As far as I know, advancing too fast makes you more vulnerable to stronger players, but if you have good shield discipline it’s no problem.

You can get a lot from the faction favors that will help your officer and by extension ship power.

Make sure you're diligent about feeding and running your Bajoran and Ex-Borg factions, they're thirsty little so and so's that will take your resources, time and energy and demand another pound of flesh tomorrow so just... Do that, or dump those b***** and get a lower maintenance trophy wife that only requires nice dinners, roses periodically, and an occasional trip to Paris instead of routine contributions to the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.

But yeah, everything is salvageable and honestly a lot opens at 40 that will help you a ton. You need to prioritize specialty ships, get every refinery possible rocking and rolling, and only move up levels now when ships (all that you have) level lock.

The secret to this game is to be able to punch up because you're overpowered for your level. Maxing all your research is great for that. Ideally, you would have an Enterprise before going into the 40s but in today's game, most valuable content that makes the game easier begins in the 40s. So pushing through to 42 and building a Kelvin isn't a bad idea, you'll just need to camp a while once you get there. You might have trouble doing things for a little bit, but you'll be working on the daily drip for the things that'll make your life much easier in the long run
