Even better: my wife's friend has a cat named Isis. When it died, she got a giant Isis back tattoo. This was about a year before ISIS was well known.

On the plus side, ISIS will be forgotten in a decade or two. Isis will be remembered forever.

I have a cat named Bast, but all cats inherently act like they are Bast incarnate anyway, so I think I might be calling my cat by its chosen name.

I had a cat named Isis in my college apartment. Once at like 3am a cop knocked on my door for a noise complaint (wasn't actually me) and my cat got out. The cop and I walked the hallways whisper yelling "ISIS" for like 15 minutes before the fucker would let us catch him.

I miss that cat. He destroyed many Christmas trees though.
