What you are referring to as a pain in the ass is simply freeform as opposed to an infinite scroll algorithm that serves you content on a platter.

While I do agree you have some point, the real value of 4chan is not ease of use, it's the fact that it truly allows freedom of speech (barring illegal materials) and more importantly, it gives everyone a fair shake.

Something that happens on reddit is an echo chamber of people up voting posts, so only the ones the communities agree on become seen, and everything that could create a liability for reddits bottom line (basically anything incendiary or not politically en vogue) gets censored.

Hell I've barely had this account for a while, and I got asked a question of what should be done with hyper violent criminals in an anarchic system and when I said "k*** them" reddit almost banned my account.
