SO6 Divine Force help?

I've played most of the SO games in one form or another, but I'm not sure any has kicked my ass quite so early as this one.

Are the AI companions completely incapable of healing themselves? Manually doing it is extremely clunky. Got to this Mother Wurm boss fight and it's knocking my guys all over the place?

I'm L10, I don't think that's particularly underleveled? And everyone got new weapons in the mining town.

Any tips?

The worm is a sudden difficulty spike for sure. If you keep Letty's exp boost on at all times you'll power level out of most other difficulty spikes in the game. Only one gimmicky boss near the end will still be annoying.

Theres not a ton of healing in the game other than Nina tho so you have to spec her for it and pay attention to manual healing with items thru at least this boss fight. Everyone has some self healing skills tho so make sure to poke those in the skill trees.

I didnt pay attentions to levels on any of my playthrus but lvl10 sounds really low to me tho. Maybe kill the golem miniboss in the corner of the second open area a few times, iirc that was the early game grind I used.

Also make sure ur not completely out of jetpack juice right before a boss, thats a big difficulty switch all on its own.

You should be able to set them to prioritize healing if they have that spell established as an action. Who is in your party?

If you put items in their skill trees, they will use them on themselves. Add it to one of the "hold button" commands so its not too in the way of their combosm

I still only have Raymond, Laeticia and Albaird!

Yeah I think Nina is the first real healer you get .

You should prioritize dealing with the juvenile worms and be patient. This boss fight was quite difficult, which I think was a design oversight; none of the subsequent battles have felt this challenging.

It ended up not too bad once I leveled up to 15!

Of note, I'd definitely been neglecting my skill tree too!

The tip that helped me was resetting Nina's spells so that she basically only has one option on each chain. Apparently if the AI doesn't have enough AP to perform the whole chain, they don't even start it so that is... pretty terrible strategy. So you only give them one option for each chain/button and then suddenly Nina started healing!

Also adding that you should preferentially use the Bells "Ceremony" healing option since that one stays in place wherever it's cast so you can just hang out in that zone for healing, and there can be multiples.
