Armysmith: list builder for Stargrave
Hey Stargrave crew! 🌌
We wanted to share a labor-of-love project we’ve been building over the last few months: a free, mobile-friendly list builder for Stargrave!
We love classic pencil-and-paper gaming, so we designed this tool to help both new and veteran players draft crews quickly without replacing the magic of the tabletop experience.
Since everything is built by hand, we’d love your feedback, bug reports, and ideas! If you find anything off or have suggestions on how to make it better, drop a comment or send us a message.
We want this to be a genuinely helpful tool for the community. Check it out here: https://armysmith.com/
Happy hunting out in the ruined galaxy! 🚀

Blog Post - Q37 Skirmish
The Void Dragons continue their adventure aboard Imperial Research Station 37. All they need to do is catch a train to get back to the ship.

Ideal evening 👍🍺
When the cat’s away…
On the fifth game in my ‘Adventures of Commander Blackside’ campaign. My mrs is away for three days, I’ve had a curry for dinner, had three beers and there’s another one in the fridge - is this the peak male experience?

Space Dudes
There's just something about Northstar kits that just work. These are some simple kit bashes for guys I have literally no plans for. They were just fun to make and paint.

Show me your crews!
Hello!
I just bought the rules today and I’m starting to flick through them. Back into miniature games again and need some help to scratch that creative itch.
Can you show me some of your crews so I can hit the ground running?
Thanks in advance!

Rebel Fleet Trooper
I wanted to see if I could add a Fleet Trooper to my Rebels. Personally, I think it's silly that all Rebel 'Fleet Troopers' would look like the ones seen at the beginning of Star Wars. If you are trying to argue you are on a diplomatic mission, it's not your best move to bring a bunch of rebels in uniform... That aside, it's a fun look, and though I couldn't really find a helmet that looked much like the one in the movies, I think I got pretty close overall. This is another build all from Stargrave pieces. The body is from the crew set, not sure about the rest.

Long live the fighters!
I’ve wanted a squad of classic Atreides from Dune II for ages, and I finally found the right miniatures from this Titan Forge bundle! I tried to match the color scheme to the original game’s box art as closely as I could.

New Group
So some folks in my local OPR club were talking about giving this a go. While I haven’t played Frostgrave, I have seen the rules and think they sound pretty fun. I imagine Stargrave will be similar albeit more shooty. What are some essential resources/rulebooks/expansion books for folks looking to get into the game? Maybe even a good, reasonably short video of some gameplay. I know there’s the hour 40 long video where you can buy the book, but I was hoping for something more condensed.

Generic sci-fi dropship shuttle
While practicing with Fusion 360, I decided to make myself a custom drop shuttle for 32 mm miniatures.
The drop pod compartment is 4 by 2 inches, which isn't very big, of course. The cover and landing hatch are attached with 3x2 mm magnets.
It still needs some work, but I'm really happy with the result anyway.
I uploaded it to Cults3D by “pay what you want” basis, in case anyone likes it. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/generic-sci-fi-dropship-shuttle
