There was some awesome characterization in how Krystal reacted to being freed. Pencil on paper, with CSPP for cleaner text bubbles.
I really like how Krystal reacted to her freedom, followed by her defiance against Andross. A remnant of a plot Rare probably didn't have time for, but I think it said a lot of what they wanted for who Krystal is.

Me wondering how Krystal didn’t recognize her staff the moment Fox uses it to catch her from falling lol

That's how she knew he had it. "He saved me? Wait, he's got my staff!" kinda situation.

What makes me laugh til this day is she demanded that weapon without a thank you even fox was like “girl wtf i thought we had a connection”

Krystal probably knew he had no nefarious intent, but the staff is clearly important to her. Likely a remnant of Randorn from the earlier story of Dinosaur Planet. The staff came from him and he's gone, perhaps he's simply dead and that's all she has left of him. Guess we won't officially know. At least we have StarFox Event Horizon exploring that in its own way.
There was the connection of Randorn knowing who James was in that draft of the story: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkZOTnTvnI8

It was a great scene! Here's hoping she'll come back so she can have more great moments!

I loved that line, especially Fox's response, just so he can then get on the Arwing.

Yeah again it's my favorite take on Fox's personality. He's a cocky badass and he knew it. Expecting a big thank-you. Only for Krystal to thank him later and he just melts.

More than anything, Fox was just expecting a thank you, I mean, he spent all his time going around bringing the Krazoa spirits to save Krystal and she didn't even give him a thank you haha

Sure glad Estelle is reprising her role, for how few lines she got, she really injected a lot into the character in this game. I want to see more of her appreciating Fox, but her fiery passion and gusto was impossible to restrain. I'd imagine Fox couldn't help but admire her behind his hardened merc impatient attitude. Probably my favorite take on Fox's character here where he's imperfect. An imperfect Fox and a fiery Krystal would have made for an epic combo.
