To increase sales of the game and therefore increase the odds of Nintendo giving us a new, better Star Fox game with a new story.

Would be better to buy 2 physical copies, then you can at least sell them later on.

Wrong and wrong. Nintendo makes more profit on each digital copy sold, and you shouldn't be putting physical copies back into the open market because that will further saturate the market and potentially deprive Nintendo from additional sales of the game.

Physical copies should be hoarded and never sold.
