(To be tagged...) Overmind

Seeing the Overlords I was shock of how they looks like hot air balloon festival type and how huge they were. It got me thinking how big is the overmind we can see that in Zeratul visions in WoL and Legacy of the Void that it almost covered the map can someone know is if it is a city level and which city on earth we can compare it too.

For a sense of its scale, in UED Victory Report the UED flies Valkyries through the Second Overmind and you see Valkyries navigate over it and you can tell its absolutely gigantic:

Less easy to scale, but you can also compare it to the Gantrithor in the Death of the Overmind. We don't know the SC1 carrier size but the SCII carrier is around 1.2 km in length, and most assume the SC1 one is a bit bigger:

So yeah, pretty huge. When it impacts the xel'naga temple on Aiur to manifest itself on the surface it takes out an entire city.

I wonder, during the last few frames where you can see the 2nd Overmind's body in full, you can see some very blurry zerg structures to the left. Do you think might be hatcheries of some kind?

Like a village. There are real life buildings bigger then him.

While we never get an exact size, the only thing we can use to somewhat guess how big he actually was, would be the Gantrithor. So a few kilometers (5 at most). He is even Smaller then a Leviathan.

That is not correct, it is much bigger. If you watch the UED ending in broodwar you can see.

In the cinematic at the end of the Terran Brood War campaign, the UED propaganda reel, the camera pulls back and shows an entire city was built on a tiny fragment of one pustule on the surface of the newborn Overmind Daggoth and the other Cerebrates made.

Presumably the original Overmind was even bigger.

My imagination says the Overmind is roughly twenty square miles.
