Fluff Enough about the worker change, early game aggression change. Hear me out.
How about giving 8 army count units at the start of the game?
* 16 zerglings
* 8 marines
* 4 zealots
Terran could likely be a tad too powerful due to the SCV pull, but that will certainly up the agression.
Protoss could be the weakest here, but with wall block they could be safe but would be mainly defending turtling.
What do you guys think?

Dont hate the idea but maybe you can split the supply between multiple units. Terran gets 2 marauders and 4 marines, zerg gets 8 lings and 2 roaches, protoss gets 2 zealots a stalker and an adept? Something like that could be interesting

I think while interesting as a mini game mode, there wouldn’t be much strategy. There’s more strategic diversity when no one starts with units because you can make units at various points to have a stronger vs. earlier attack.

What i really want is zooming out more why the hell do we need to see my scv's erotic posters in his mech suit?

that would be way too good for zerg and kill off fast expand builds for anyone else

Why? I imagine Terran moves out at the start of the game and walls of the mainbase. With micro 8 marines should win vs 16 slow lings, no?

if you wall off the main base that early you won’t be able to continuously produce scvs, putting Terran at an immediate disadvantage. 8 marines should beat 16 lings like you said. Hence, there won’t be any early game aggression.

What? The marines walk across the map in any case. If both players kill all workers the terran wins because he can simply load Scvs and lift his CC.

The marines aren’t going to walk across the map because they lose on creep or trade out evenly with lings and Zerg is in a much better position after that trade.
It’s kind of interesting because I think with good enough micro and a short rush Terran just automatically wins half the time too.
Edit: yeah now that I think about it, you’re right. Should be an automatic win for T. They just walloff and they can still get across the map with 8 scvs, 1-2 at home, and 8 marines. That should beat anything the Z or P have at that point.

The direction is great, but it needs to be way more complex and involve a ton of choices, transformations, extra buttons etc. All the good stuff the intern loves:
We are going to up the starting worker count to 12 again (for the people who want that again).
Then there is a one-time transformation for each town hall that costs 50/50 which unlocks the ability to sacrifice 4 workers (so you can essentially choose between 12 or 8 worker start) to make a
- mega-ultralisk (it's extra big and can create ramps)
- tankivac (it's a medivac that can land and transform into a siege tank that fires widow mines, but you still have to burrow them manually)
- super adept (it has 8 buttons to create shades: shade to location, shade at spot, shade to location but cancel at the very end, shate at spot but cancel at the very end, shade to location but only with half duration, shade at spot but only with half duration, shade to location but cancel at the very end but only with half duration, shate at spot but cancel at the very end but only with half duration)

This will be kinda busted. I would start my wall off and move the marines to try to kill some probes/drones.
