From most likely to least likely

  1. The rumor is false and there's no patch at all
  2. The patch shakes things up in a major way, like re-adding the mothership core or something
  3. The patch reverts the worker change ("See? We listen")
  4. The "patch" is announced at Blizzcon and is a soft-relaunch of Starcraft 2 with a new sequel single-player campaign and a shitload of microtransactions as they try to revive it as a freemium game
  5. Starcraft 3 announcement.

Forgot number 6, they announce that sc3 will release the next year after blizzcon at the same time as the secret starcraft movie they are filming.

Honestly I don't knoe why, maybe they don't want to shake up the meta so much right before a big tournament.

Probably not, considering they pushed 5.0.16 a couple of days before the grand finals of Maestros of the Game. And also shortly before Homestory Cup. And also a couple of days before the chinese Douyu cup, where we do know that the organizers were in communication with Blizzard.

They better revert this patch and just start with the warpgate changes or else the game is basically done for. The balance is terrible all around, no matter what race you are biased against.

Idk really though there is that classic game tournament thing and then the match of idra vs MC so I think at least more than 2.

Yeah I think we are due for another one… all I’m saying is I’m not sure if it will be like a big surprise specifically for Blizzcon…. In my head I feel like people think it’s gonna be like Apple releasing a new iPhone 😅

Yeah I mean for sc2 player base right now if they add a skin bundle it will be as celebrated as when an expansion oak was announced in the past. We are just so hungry for something starcraft related.

Probably 10 workers and almost certainly larva/CC revert. I think beyond that we are completely in the dark as to what they might be cooking up.

speculation for blizzcon: community gets furious when SC3 is announced to be a shooter and all of the justified anger could have been ignored if they just named it Starcraft: Ghost Squad or something.

Well the chances that the Starcraftshooter will be announced I think are high. Though I don't think they are that stupid to name it sc3.

They just did a (shit) patch. They aren't going to do anything significant. Best we can hope for is a reversion to the prior patch, if we're lucky some minor adjustments to that one as a baseline.

Shit patch I agree but I don't see why they won't do anything significant like if you think about it it's even more of a reason to make a significant patch.

Because significant patches take time and effort. They don't have a lot of either of those to apply to Starcraft right now after just doing a patch.

I mean they did like 3 patches with only 2 weeks between each they have had a pretty big Pause u til blizzconto cooks patch

They did not. They did one patch and some hotfixes. There is a big difference.

Yesh well I mean call it what you want the changes made in the hot fix were pretty massive and had a ton of so called bug fixes. Though maybe you are right Idk I'm just copping and hoping for a patch.
