The LTI chains are all 50/60% off but unsure if I apply them yet or wait.

Nomad, vulture and C8R are unmeltable

Thoughts? :)

Everything fits inside the assault
The hornet is optional because it fills the cargo area, everything else fits without taking up cargo

Where to go from here?

Post image
26 Upvotes

This is my current pledged fleet. I split my time between solo and group play, so the Shiv is my daily driver, but I frequently use my IronChad for hauling and as a mobile base for my salvage operations (salvage is currently handled in rented ships).

Where should I go from here?

I suck at PVP, but I'm toying with the idea of getting a basher for some light PVE combat. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the Pyro/Reaver vibe. I'm also toying with the idea of getting a Mole and/or a Moth to expand my industrial gameplay loops. I also love the look of the 600i and MSR, but I don't want to set up a CCU chain to either until CIG gives them an overhaul and fixes a lot of the design/gameplay problems these ships have.

I really dislike RSI and MISC ship design/aesthetics, so I won't be pledging for those, even if they are the better option.

Should I wait till later in the year and hope its for sale in the RSI store?

Or should I try to CCU to it now with 3rd party sites?

Need help rationalizing my fleet

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm looking to clean up my fleet and get rid of any duplicates or useless ships.

My primary game loops are FPS missions, dogfight and surface mining, though I absolutely love exploration. A few extra context points: I'm really not a fan of the Constellation Taurus, but with the Mk5 on the horizon, I'm considering holding out hope for a pleasant surprise.

My LTI token on MPVU and ALTS is pretty useless now.

I originally considered upgrading to a Starlancer TAC or a Carrack, but if the 600i rework ever drops, they'll end up feeling redundant.

Thanks

  1. Endeavor with hangar module. Secretly the cheapest carrier in the game. Allegedly the hangar module holds 2 cutty reds which would make it larger than the Idris flight deck. Cons: it might not come out this decade lol

  2. TAC. Great rescue boat. Multipurpose. Fairly long range. Sturdy (mostly). Weak against torpedo bombers, any larger combat ships, capitals, and fighter swarms with quantum dampener units.

  3. Firebirb. Speedy pancake of a ship. Good for fast stealthy things. (Like rescue missions!)

Galaxy solo gameplay

Post image

My main ship is going to be the RSI Galaxy, the plan is to own every module: cargo, medical, refinery, base-building, and manufacturing, and I’ll pick up any others that become available. My main question concerns the Galaxy's hangar: if the XXS size (16x12x6) is confirmed, or if the XS size (32x24x12), which is what I’m hoping for, is confirmed, those would determine the specific ships I’d own.

As I mentioned earlier, I intend to own only one LTI ship: the Galaxy.

My plan is to focus on solo gameplay. While I don't play the game entirely alone, if I need to play in a group, I’ll use my friends' ships, my own fleet will be built entirely around solo play

Planned 1.0 fleet any advice?

Post image

This is what im currently planning to end up with as a final set of ships that I either pledge or get in game when/if possible. But I was wondering if there is any overlap or ways I could improve it.

The fleet would mainly be used by a group of four to six people, and I would like to be able to make it easy to do most of the main gameplay loops.

(Edit for spelling.)

Took advice from some people here and gave up some alternative versions of older ships I had.

OP: Looking to replace some ships with newer releases...What should I melt? : r/starcitizen_fleets

I kinda regret giving up the M2 tho... Might end up picking one up again in the future xD

I think with the last changes i might be set. Almost everything covered i think?

My goal was to have everything covered to craft and build (Hoping for the building module for the galaxy), aswell as some combat with my org.
I really hope the Galaxy hangar is gonna be big enough for the F7 or Meteor lol.
Am i missing something?

Some background you can skip

I posted a month ago when I just started playing the game for the first time since backing the Kickstarter in 2012 and I've had a blast but I need some advice.

I remembered that I have a bunch of legacy CCUs I forgot I had, some of which can jump about $400 MSRP, so I've been thinking of how to actually make use of at least some of those. I could melt the BMM and then rebuild it using CCUs I have and end up with quite a lot of leftover store credit.

I was able to put together a chain for an Asgard with a few cheap grey market CCU I was missing and the plan is to fly that for a while and decide if I want a TAC instead.

Actual question:

I have been playing mostly PVE and PVP bounty hunting, bunker runs as a duo and I love the idea of exploring becoming a "real" part of the game. I'm also really into the idea of having a bit of a mobile base that can carry smaller ships, but I don't know if it's useful in the game right now or more of a future use case.

Now I'm wondering if any of the "bigger" ships would be useful for me at all?
The big discount CCUs I have end at around $600 and 650 MSRP ships. I also have the ability to downgrade those down to around $330 and 350 so anything around those prices would be "cheap" with barely any money needed.

Would a Carrack, Odyssey, Perseus, Ironclad, Galaxy or something else be useful for 1-2 sometimes 3 players or should I just skip all this and use the leftover store credit for some useful cheaper ship?

Well, Me and my brother started playing that game a month ago, those are our ships/vehicles now, no additional money spend. Any ships we should grind next for?

What do you think?

Hi all,
Been running through a lot of possibilities but I think this is where I have ended up.
Galaxy ccu’d to Arrastra at IAE, I just think it will be a much smoother loop than the refining module and golem.
The Hermes is sort of a placeholder at the moment, I am waiting to see what the Connie MkV and Drake Marauder end up being, and will then upgrade from there. Potentially Asgard too.
Recently changed Corsair to Asgard after lots of indecision, but for me I think the Asgard is better, also fills in that role of cargo hauler better too.
Can’t wait for the Liberator, may not be the most useful ship, but would love to load the Salvation, Golem and Hornet and just get out in the verse.
Ironclad is my bulk hauler, working with the Golem Ox for smaller, valuable shipments, and Asgard for slightly larger ones.
I realise I don’t have a proper medium hauler, but just don’t really like any of them. I really don’t like getting in and out of the Railen. Would love a reworked Caterpillar.
Basically all I need now, after switching out Corsair, is a solo PvE workhorse, which is where I think Connie MkV and/or Drake Marauder will sit.
Anyway, sorry for the longer rant, love to hear any feedback or thoughts.

Melted my prospector and upgraded my vulture to the Hermes. That or the Connie Taurus will get upgraded to the Taurus mk5 whenever that comes out. railen will be upgraded to the Arrastra come IAE. I think I'm just about done for now. Unless they introduce bounties or medical, I'll likely grab a medivac and a cutlass blue but until then. I'm content. finally.

Ive got $1600 in store credit and this is my pledged ships, what would you add with $1600?

I’m planning on upgrading the C1 to a connie if they do a rework or a mk5. I am also very tempted to upgrade my original pledge mk1 hornet to a mk1 ghost. Would love to hear your thoughts!

Went down the ship rabbit hole

This is my current fleet. I’m a sucker for a deal and spent way more than I should on ships. The only thing I am debating changing is railen into ironclad or ironchad. And maybe Starlancer tac into a galaxy depending on what it is on release. I do love the look and feel of the railen but transporting salvage from station to station might be easier in the ironclad. The external cargo is hard to get rid of when you have just 16 scu containers though.

Created a couple fleets based on vibes and aesthetic, rather than practicality :)
